Welcome to Mystical Realms
Thank you for taking the time to read this before completing your application.
It is an important step to being accepted into Mystical Realms. When we review character applications, we are looking for characters that will be a positive addition to our community. We do not like rejecting people,
but at the same time we want our member’s role-plays at Mystical
Realms to be of quality. Mystical Realms is about originality and creativity.
Be imaginative, thorough and innovative with your answers and you should
have no problem gaining membership.
After piles of Half-Vampire/Half-Dragon/Half-Devil characters wanting
in, we decided a better test to judge new membership, is to see who can
make a handle that is mostly normal. We believe by doing this it encourages
creativity and gives a new member a better feel for the site. And not
only that, but it helps populate our chat with a greater selection of
“normal people.”
NOT ACCEPTED as first handles:
- Gods
- Offspring of Deities
- Angels
- Demons or Devils
- Dragons
- Vampires
- Lycanthropes
- Shape shifters
- Undead - including ghosts and zombies
- Furries or any half-animal type creatures
- Assassins
- Any creature from Earth
- Any creature that can use all the elements, either by natural ability or magical items
- Any other nearly godlike being
- Any well known character from books, anime, movies or other sources
(IE Gandalf or Kenshin or Drizzt)
- Any hybrids of the above list
- Any creature that was a normal race but is now altered to something
on the above list
- Any creature possessed by something on the above list
- Any creature of a normal race but with a pet/best-friend/parent from
the above list
ACCEPTABLE first handles:
- Humans
- Half-elf/half-humans
- Half-orc/half-humans
- Dwarves
- Gnomes/Kenders
The basic races are just that - basic races, humans do not have red eyes or slit pupils and elves do not have tails or kitten ears. We will not accept any character that tries to circumvent these rules.
Once you've decided to continue to role play at Mystical Realms and add additional handles, the racial selection opens. So if you want to play a vampire, keep
that character idea as a character addition, which you may apply for after
you’ve been approved.
Every character starts play in Zatrikion, a place of many magical realms and a place where technology can't exist. Please note that we do not accept characters from earth for play within Zatrikion. Characters may be from an earth-like place and magically swept to Zatrikion. We discourage members from using their real life names for their characters.
