Combat
Weapons and Armor: Ama is the type to avoid combat if she can possibly help it--she was never taught to use a weapon to defend herself properly.
Skills
Domestic: Ama can take care of herself. She can cook, sew a very straight seam, and even has a knack for keeping small children entertained with tall tales. She has been living on her own for years.
A little bit odd: Ama lives on the outskirts of civilization with her black cat, Waldorf, who she talks to as if he could talk back. If you feel the need for a potion or two about all kinds of ailments, see her. She brings her wares with her to market days if you don't want to take the trek. And if you do...
Okay, more than odd: Her cottage is filled with strange sorts of odds and ends, charms to cure a sickly child, mandrake roots, hens teeth....do hens even -have- teeth? Don't look at the small dolls in the corner of the room. And the pins underneath a sewing basket by sitting by the books of magic. Its odd and curiously homely, and she is all smiles. Just don't bring the torches and she won't have to turn you into a toad.
Toad? *whistles innocently*
Magical: Ama's mother was an accomplished mage and began teaching her daughter the art of spells at a young age. She has a great talent with magic, though her range of spells is limited due to circumstance. She uses her herbal talents and magical talents to brew potions and make charms to earn coin.
The Tower
Amarantha hasn't been in Zatrikion very long, but has made a home of sorts out of an old ruin off the road leading towards the City of Gates. The tower is covered with vines and birds nest in the upper reaches where perhaps a guard once patrolled. It seems to be the remnants of a large fort or manor house. Now though, there is simply a tall tower, seen from some distance in the forest, attached to walls that jut out into nothing amidst large arches. Ama built a sturdy cottage butting directly up against the tower on the inside where the walls met and merged with it, the back of it against an old door leading inside to the rocky, ground floor. Outside, there are several vegetable and herb gardens, along with a pile of wood and a what looks like the rough startings of a rudimentary fence. A donkey grazes amidst the arches, tied away from the greens, and a cart sits next to him, mute testament to his purpose. A sign hangs from the wall, gleaming in the sun. 'Potions and Charms for sale,' though it is dubious how many people wander out far enough this way to see it.
Appearance
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Height: 5'6"
Age: 23
Hair: Strawberry blonde, curly.
Eyes: Blue
Description: Ama looks like your average peasant, save perhaps her clothing is of better quality. Her hair is curly and she usually pulls it back into an ineffectual bun to keep it out of her face. Heavy strands are always falling down about her shoulders, giving her a messy scholarly type of air. Her hands are either dark with earth or with unidentifiable substances relating to her potion making and she favors everyone with a small, wary smile. She is most always seen with Waldorf, a black cat that she talks to constantly. It seems a little dotty, perhaps…but he is her closest friend.
