If a person remains in the Storm too long, it can cause one or more random mutations in their body. The possibility of a mutation occurring increases the longer they remain within the Storm, by percentage. For example, after traveling through the Storm for a day, there is a 5% chance of mutation. Two days, 10% chance. Three days, 15%... and so on. To determine if a person mutates, they roll 1 dice with 100 sides, attempting to get over the percentage required - a person with a five percent chance would need to roll a six or higher. This roll must be made every day until a mutation occures or the person leaves the Storm. Once they leave the Storm, and remain outside it for at least one week, the likelihood resets itself to the start again. It is also reset if a mutation occurs, so that the day after they mutate, they have only a 5% chance to do so again, 10% the day after that, etcetera.

If a person is inflicted with a mutation, they roll 1 dice with 12 sides on the table below to determine which part of their body is effected, then use the link to access the appropriate table to determine what that effect is. However, a person with two arms who's results are three arms, gets one additional arm, not three additional. If they have three arms, and roll to get the two arm mutation, they lose one arm. If a person already had that mutation-characteristic - a two-armed person getting the two-arms mutation - then there is no effect. If a person rolls to get a mutation of a feature that they don't have, they either gain that feature, or there is no effect.

Each person may roll for mutations on their own, or if they wish, may do so while the Stormwalker is present. If they roll while the Stormwalker is present the results will be posted on a page specifically for Mutants.
