Combat:
Although not naturally aggressive towards anything but small fish, glitter lizards are extremely curious and can be a danger just to have around. Touching them or having one brush past you as it swims by can lacerate skin and shred non-metallic substances, since each scale is like a tiny razor. If cornered and tormented, they will react by slashing with their tail, an attack that would not be terribly dangerous were it not for the sharpness of the scales. They simultaneously bite, but their teeth are small and contain no venom.

Highly adaptable, glitter lizards can live almost anywhere that there is saltwater. They cannot survive on land for more than a few minutes, and arctic waters are too cold for them. Reproduction is almost completely random.. a female may lay one or more tiny eggs anywhere, at any time. If a male happens to be around, the egg gets fertilized.. if not, then it's dead. She doesn't stay around to find out.
