Description:
Ayens, the bane of themselves. They are very war-like, but also posess a spiritual level which many races would only wish for. They aren't often found to be in civilizations of their own, but integrate themselves into other races' ranks.

Truly being a spiritual race, Ayens have the most in common as their Souls. With age comes the ability to weave a new body after death, though this takes much time and effort to do. They usually chose to be of the same race as before, but some Ayens have been known to become tricksters just in the facade of a body they wear. Though they prefer to make themselves into sentient races, they often take physical forms of other races, and the physical traits of such. They may also possess a body, but this is highly rare, since an Ayen usually doesn't like to prohibit one's useage of their own bodies.

Ayens are never commonly encountered, yet in the small groups they sometimes band in, a fellowship is sometimes born. No clear ruler exists, and each of them have a chance to leave on their own. In times of great frustration, Ayens sometimes duel just to relieve the stress. And in this, they feel their blood washes away their sin. They sometimes even fight to the death in this, and it has become an Annual Event in some places to watch.

Combat:
Often Ayens find that they would rather be in a face-to-face challenge. That is due to their tendency to develop a trust for their enemy, and a sense of honor.

Ayens develop a strategic mind at an early age, a sense of foreboding and instinct for battle in their hearts, the same as the innate wanderlust. They tend to think ahead in battle, trying to predict their opponent's blows.

Preferring bladed weapons, unless they have a truly unweildly form they may fight with any weapon.

Habitat/Society:
The bands Ayens live in usually accomodate the elders and wisest of them first. They are considered of better repute, though they have no higher status in the band. They all build caravans, or something to sleep in. they make their income usually by mercenary work, or assasination artistry. But most commonly they will become a craftsman. Usually they hold a sense of honor, and would not raid a place, though raider Ayens have been known to exist.

The plains or forests they live in are usually the most outlying areas, somewhere they can hide from the outside world. And their camps are usually clean and civilised. They don't have anything in which would make them considered allies, but they use woodland animals as pets much as a human or elven boy would. Their most common allies are plain Rocs, which carry them over great distances.

Ayen youngsters are often wily and laughing, never showing the potential they hold until they finally buckle down and focus.

Their main goddess is Ayeia, the ravaged one. She is the protector of the wronged, and the goddes of rain. Her brother is the god os valor and vengeance, not to mention dreams, Morpheus.

Ecology:
Born Ayens often live up to two-thousand years, but rarely more than one Ayen is born in a decade. They have a fierce hunger, and feed it as much as they can, as well as sport hunting. But for all this, they tend to develop the land to replentish the world around them, and keep it from being obliterated totally. If they have the chance to, they plant a tree they alone know how to truly nurture, the secret passed down in their own ways. The tree looks like a cherry tree, though the blossoms are known for their healing effects which bypass the resistance to unnatural healing. Or, so it is said.
