Climate/Terrain: While there are packs of Hajari, they all live in one general area, surrounded and protected by nature around them. Mountains form in a large semi-circle, hiding a valley down below their peaks in which lush, verdant green grass grew. It was larger than expected while not being found, but scaling the peaks of either of the two mountain ranges was nigh impossible.

There was the Elus mountain range on the left and the Neveah on the right, both named by the Hajari. There was a lake that was fed by a small river that served as a drinking hole for all the life forms that lived among the foothills of the mountains, and the stream disappeared under the ground to appear somewhere in the outside world. What was not mountain surrounding the depression in which the valley was situated were low, but dark trees. Icy winds flow from the peaks of the mountains, providing plenty of wind to get the Hajari airborne.

Description:
Hajari are winged wolves and they stand at their highest height at 4'2. They are a small species and only recently have ventured out from their hidden homes. Their lives are longer than normal wolves and humans, but much shorter than other long-lived creatures. They don't live past 250, and their coming of age is anywhere from 100 to 110. They are as intelligent as humans, but because of their muzzles, they can't speak anything other than their own language. Their coats come in any shade from white to black, to black with pale brown spots to white with pale hints of purple.

Combat:
Unlike regular wolves, the Hajari don't rely as much on physical fighting, since their bones and structure aren't as solid as a regular wolf. In order for their wings to lift their bulk off the ground, they foregone physical strength instead for the ability of flight. To balance out their loss of sheer strength behind their claws, they developed also some magic or mental abilities in addition. They can only access air or water magic, but not both. At an early age, a Hajari must decide if they want to specialize in air or water magic.

Habitat/Society:
The Hajari are much like any wolf race, relying on different packs and an alpha position as ruler or chieftan. The alpha finds the hunting grounds and packs, going in first to lead the attack for hunting, followed by the young males of the pack. The females guard the den ferociously until the males come back.

A sage is something like a shaman, and usually when a sage gets older, they often become elders of their particular clan of wolves. They are most often strong in magic or the occasional psionic. Training is started at a very young age when the cub in question shows an interest in such work. They often act as counselors and impartial judges with disputes. Not many are cut out to be sages, as the trials to becoming a full-fledged Sage take many years and often too hard for the weaker wolves. The status of a sage or shaman is on par with that of an alpha.

There are small groups of Hajari that are born with psionic abilities. Most teachings in this deal with telepathy and a few offensive powers. They will never make great mages or great psionics since all that is taught is enough to help them catch preys to feed themselves.

Ecology:
Hajari live longer than humans, but have never gotten past the age of 250. They kill only when necessary to feed and their travels are with their packs, not alone. Their habitat is lush and green, but growing sparse of game, forcing the Hajari to branch out into the world beyond that of the valley they reside in.
