Description: The Mirragoth Behemoths do not fail to live up to their name, being seven meters and nearly two tons of sculpted muscle. They seem to be in great supply throughout their domain, though if there is any form of reproduction, it has yet to be discovered. They are not necessarily aggressive, but will fight for their lives when assailed or ordered to do so by their masters, the Shadow Dancers. A combination of thick skin and iron plating makes these beasts highly resistant to both magic and conventional weaponry.

Combat

The Mirragoth Behemoth is a naturally isolated creature, preferring to keep to itself as it faces the rigors of a hard life. But when spurred, these gargantuan humanoids pose a threat to even the hardiest warriors and the wisest magicians. A feud between two of these creatures is rare, as they have discovered that they must stick together, their new masters both merciless and cruel. In combat they will use their physical stature to their advantage, their fists and feat easily surprising the might of many spells. It is not uncommon to see them tear boulders from the cavern wall and use them as projectiles, either. Due to their thick skin and iron plating, they are very resistant to most conventional weapons and only slightly resistant to magic. Fortunately, the Mirragoth Behemoth has one known vulnerability; the softer flesh upon the back of its neck is uncovered. Aligning oneself to strike at this point is where true skill comes in.

Habitat/Society

It can be assumed that once in the past the Mirragoth Behemoths were free creatures that roamed in small bands around the many caverns of their domain. But at some point, however, the Shadow Dancers rose from the depths of Mirragoth and enslaved the humanoids, forcing them to build a crude city whilst being merciless with those who refused their demands. Despite their physique and innate brutality, the Mirragoth Behemoths feared their new masters and did not fail to succumb to a life of slavery. They do not appear to have ever had any form of society, nor do they know any habitat other than the caverns they currently inhabit, perhaps uninterested in the surface world.

Ecology

Mirragoth Behemoths do not appear to seek any form of sustenance, nor have they been known to sleep. Reproduction does not even seem to be a factor in their simple lives, and so there are still many questions concerning these mammoth slaves that must be answered. Thorough study of their daily lives has been impossible thus far.
