Description: The ravenous nightmare is formless in it's true state, only when generating a terrorscape does it take a form. This form is the most terrifying creature that could be pulled from the dreamer.

Combat: In combat the ravenous nightmare can generate terrain obstacles, and creature's when forming the terrorscape. The nightmare also takes a monstrous shape reflecting the qualities most feared by the dreamer. This type of nightmare can also pierce the dreamer with invisible tendrils drawing them into a deep slumber, that no process save defeating the terrorscape can raise them from. It is theorized that ravenous nightmares can be fleeting, and not take such a serious hold upon a person. These nightmares, and brief sojourns into the terrorscape can cause waking side effects such as hallucinations, or insanity.

Habitat/Society: Nightmares of all sorts exist at the edges of the dreamscape, this breed enters the minds of dreamers and destroys them if too weak to defeat the terrorscape created by their own subconscious. They are not formed into ranks, or groups they are solitary, but many. They have no society or purpose save guiding, and strengthening humanity and the other dreaming races. They have no ill will, or malice save what the dreamer creates for himself leading the more respected thinkers to label them true neutral, not evil as may be suggested by folklore.

Ecology: Eternally watching from the edges of the sleeping mind they wait for our fears, and doubts. Granting us dreamquests, which we fail and forever slip away .... or defeat, and awake a stronger being. As long as there are creature's upon the planes who dream, and mingle with doubt and fear there shall always be a need for these creatures .... perhaps they are our own mental creations. This writer however, thinks it's just a little bit of the universe's motherly spark making us take our medicine.
