Description:
Swa-saw are a dangerous breed, evident but their very appearance. They can be anywhere between the size of a small wolf and a great moose. Their colorings mature through life, starting with Yellow at birth. Each passing year is marked by a slightly darker layer of red until the Swa-saw passes through orange and becomes a solid red. Obviously the darker red they are, the more dangerous the beast you are dealing with. Huge talons reaching almost three inches grow out from its paws and massive sabre fangs decorate its jaws.

With an almost calm sense of self, it will watch, wait, and seem to ponder as it stares at you. Relaxed, it might take a few steps closer, but always its pupils are contracted, watching, wondering. Silly humaniod, be ye not FOOLED!!!

Combat:
Whenever the time comes that it decides to fight, and it always will, Swa-saw leads a head on attack. As they are a solitary creature, they jump right in on the offensive, often times pinning their prey in one fluid movement. Claws through the shoulders and thighs, teeth dangerously pinned to the neck, there is very little a commoner can do against these vicious demons.

Very rarely, when coming upon a character they realize has average to above inteligence, they will invoke their magic ability. A sure warning of this, will be the flame they suddenly call to dance on their tails. Once it lights, even that seemingly innocent gaze could not keep those wise to their actions around, for with that small pilot light, they can burn forests down leaving nothing but charred remains.

Habitat/Society:
These creatures thrive on warmth. Death awaits all Swa-saw that are abandoned to the cold for days on end. Because of this, they don't travel very far and as a result, they know little of the world. This envokes a curious nature but a deadly one as well. Understand, the reason they thrive in warmth is because the power of the flame feeds them, without it they could die, so a constant need of warmth effects their metabolism. They do not eat, infact swallowing flesh can make them ill for a few days.

Swa-saw are a lonely creature as very few of them exist. Extremely territorial, meeting a fellow demon often times does result in death of one, the other... and sometimes both. Luckily they are an asexual species.

In the beginning there was One, and when Swa-saw was unhappy with the world, One lied down in the earth. Hundreds of years did Swa-saw sleep, dreaming nightmares of others to share eternity with. Still sleeping, but here the Swa-saw are, each dream must bring another of them from the firy pits of One's imagination.

Ecology:
When a Swa-saw first is created, it is nothing but a white-yellowish color. Each time the creature consumes with the flame, the growth of destruction is reflected in its skin as a slightly darker shade. Eventually it will become a deep, crimson red providing it sees enough time. Because they are not held to this time frame, a Swa-saw may mature much quicker than others, all depending on its taste for the flame. But these powers are not without boundaries. If the drive for destruction consumes them, all is lost as they travel blindly away from their warm climate, seeking more, becoming colder, going insane.
