Spireots are relatively large birds compared to their other winged cousins. A spireot has a height anywhere from 6 to 9 feet and their wingspan ranges from 4 to 7 feet.

They are usually found in orange fur, adorned with an exotic blend of other colors such as blue and green. However, there have been some cases where hunters have found a rare subspecies of these birds which have a red fur coat. These red Spireots are much more rare and are usually the larger kindred, averaging nearly eight feet.

Combat:
In most general terms, the Spireot can only utilize their claws and sharp beaks for combat. However, their sturdy wings and long flexible legs can be used as well. The claws found on their feet are black and can reach lengths of about 3 inches. These claws are primarily used in grasping small prey such as salmon and beavers. The beak is the main weapon used in combat. The Spireot prepares by moving its entire frame backward and then lunging forward, attempting to the pierce the beak into the opponent's flesh. If this doesnt work, then the Spireot will begin kicking at its attacker or prey, attempting to shread them with its claws.

Habitat/Society:
Spireots are tribal creatures and it is common for spawn to live their entire lives along with their parents. The Tribes consist of one alpha male which is refered to as the King. The alpha male's wife and his spawn. Along with the alpha family, are three to ten other families.

As mentioned before, the Spireots prefer land which is near water. Their primary food source is fish or small rodents. The Spireots also prefer greeneries and will find it hard to adapt in a complete desert environment.
