Special Defenses: Very Fast( can out distance all but the swiftest underwater creatures )
Special Abilites: Gift of the Sea( whereas a human or other creature deemed worthy is transformed into a merman, or mermaid. )
Magic Resistence: Immune to beguiling, and illusionary spells. While in the water the creature receives a complete immunity to flame based attacks.

Climate/Terrain: Secret underwater colonies, and cities located within warm waters are the rumored locations of these enigmatic beings.

Description: Striking women with the lower bodies of fish, their legend has been passed from generation to generation. Not much is known about their appearance beyond the stories of beautiful women with the lower halves of fish.

Combat: Rumor, and folklore tell of their lower halves being used to beat men to death, and even magics that transform men and women into various forms being used. Ancient paintings of mermaids often showed them wielding tridents, some of which were seen to fire bursts of energy.

Habitat/Society: Nothing is known of their society, or habitats beyond the communal theories widely accepted. Their houses could be domed, or square, rectangular, or triangular no one really knows for sure.

Ecology: Of the old tales spun around warm fires, on cold coastal days the most prominent tell of the beauty of the ladies, and how it never fades. These stories, if true put the lifespan of a mermaid at well over three hundred years. Humanoid in appearance, it is safe to theorize that they eat fishes, and sea plants for meals.
