Flora and Fauna: Oak, red cedar, basswood, pine, walnut and cherry. Black-tailed deer, red fox, ground and flying squirrel, marten and mink are abundant. The forest is usually filled with the assorted songs of innumerable small birds, the drumming of crested grouse and loggerhead woodpeckers.
Known Dangers: Wolf, bear and forest lion are occasionally seen, as well as the rare band of goblins venturing down out of the mountains to the northeast. The halflings will defend themselves fiercely if they feel they or the surrounding forest lands are being attacked.
History: A moderate sized halfling community, enjoying their secluded existence. They don’t get as many visitors of other races as their southern neighbors, and as a result, are somewhat shy and suspicious of those who do show up.
