Flora and Fauna: Oak, white cedar, maple, spruce, blackwood, walnut, cherry and apple. Mule deer, kit fox, giant squirrel, marten, fisher and ferret are common. A wide variety of small birds, thunder grouse, crimson pheasant, jays and ravens.
Known Dangers: Wolves, dire wolves, bear, very long stories, getting caught up in (and losing) spontaneous archery competitions.
History: Despite the name, Fleetwood Shire prides itself on the long, convoluted tales of the quaint settlement’s history. There is nothing fleeting about them! It is not unknown for an elder to spend as much as three days telling a single tale, while lovingly polishing the limbs of his favorite blackwood bow, on nothing more than the innocent visitor asking directions to someone’s house. It is considered extremely rude to interrupt the tale for anything other than food, drink and necessary breaks.
