Ash-Akul

First of the Northern Wastelands discovered, west of Shun-Akul and just south of Jhet-Akul, the landmass named ‘One Glacier’ is roughly triangular, riddled with frozen tundra, barren wastelands and steep mountains. The northwestern regions are mainly populated by orc among the Yraso Mountains and along the Shakatrog River. The southern point of the triangle is home to the Kurg of the Tundrax, and holds the lovely Gauldalier Valley amidst the Herro, Bressen and Dorack Mountain ranges. Ice Trolls and numerous other unpleasantries roam the land freely, preying on each other and the herds of caribou that vie for what little greenery can survive in the desolate terrain. Seasonally sections of the coastline vanish under a heaving carpet of dusky brown bodies as seals and walrus come ashore to whelp, while just off the coast the sleek black and silver forms of orca gather to hunt the clumsy pups.
