Their roots jut high out of the ground and look more like fingers at times. The only recorded document about them come from a book recently discovered in the Steppe. Only one, solitary forest has been discovered. Combat:
The walking trees do not outright attack, unless the forest has been harmed in some way. They are like Ent, only have no intelligence, and no emotions. They do not speak, only walk. They are curious creatures that are drawn to strangers that wander in to their forest. Almost like imps, they will crowd around their 'victim' and use their height and strength to confuse the wanderer. If there is more than one wanderer, the trees will work to separate the pair and make a maze in the forest. It is a protective measure to preserve their enviroment and confuse the traveler enough to never want to come back. Ecology:
Walking trees have been around for thousands of years. No one knows what magic was given to make the trees uproot and move around, although it is believed there is some sort of potion or magical stream that has made these trees flourish. Some have died from old age and will just fall down. No creatures live in the branches, as it seems the trees find that to be pestilence. The forest has grown to about 200 acres, which is a very slow grow. The tress reach up to one hundred feet in height and can be five feet in circumference. |
