Portal Locations: The first portal, often called 'the Smuggler's Gate' is fairly small, large enough only for one or two people to step through at a time, and located in a cave in the less dense woods at the base of the mountains in the central part of the nation.
The second, much larger portal, is located at sea. However, the portal is a two week voyage away,about an equal distance between Anteor and its frequent enemy to the south, Zelshad. Due to the fact that the men of Zelshad are much greater seafarers than the largely land based people of Anteor, ships voyaging to the portal are at great risk of falling under attack.
Climate: Largely marine, with extremely heavy rain fall, especially in the west, the north tends more towards extremely long, harsh winters, while the south, particularly south-east, is much more temperate.
Resources: Lumber, firs, mining, and moderate farming.
Flora and Fauna: The forests spread across much of the land are largely evergreen in the colder areas, with deciduous trees, in the warmer regions. Wild animals are largely game animals capable of surviving the chilly climate, such as wolves, bears, deer, and the like.
Known Dangers: A treacherous coastline, frigid winters, wild animals, will o’ the whisps in the swamp, the occasional monster, and rumored fae in the deep woods.
