Celestia is a land with a moderate climate filled with magic, spells, and the antics of the Twelve Constellations which are also known as Twelve Celestials: The Ram, The Bull, The Twins, The Crab, The Lion, The Virgin, The Priestess of the Scales, The Centaur, The Scorpion, The Hybrid, the Water Bearer, and The Circling Fish.
These beings were the ones that were said to have created Celestia and aided in bringing the various races in the Realm together where they would live in harmony. Of course, every realm needed some sort of ruling power, some sort of governing power, and as a result, they formed a plan - the strongest of each race that resided withing Celestia would compete with one another and the winner would be the one to rule Celestia with the kindness of the Gods and Goddesses.
Of course, the competition was not based merely on strength, but in intelligence as well. As a result, a man by the name of Zarahk was the winner, displaying the desired traits appropriate for ruling the realm. Of course, the others or the other races weren't particularly thrilled of this aspect, and a result, did what they could to kill the man. Of course, this Zarahk was aware of this minute problem...why would elves, winged humans and those of other races wish to be ruled by a human whose lives are nothing more than a mere second compared to theirs?
The Celestials would not have none of this of course. Zarahk was chosen, and he would be the one to control the Realm. His sons would ascend the throne after his death.
When his death did come, however, the two of the three sons squabbled with one another. The eldest was more like his father and despite what his father's advisors said, he wasn't keen on ascending the throne. And as the eldest, he did what he could to stop the fighting between his two siblings...which only resulted in having a sword run through him by the youngest.
Enraged that the heir was killed, The Celestials dscended upon the two, enraged. They said one thing -
Only the eldest of the current Ruler could ascend the throne.
Of course, in their late coming and their inablity to protect the eldest son, they stated that the second son would ascend the throne, and that eldest of the heirs would always, always be the one to ascend the throne. It was always done as such in other realms, and it would always be done in this realm as well. If this one law was not acknowledged, they would shred Celestia apart just as they created Celestia themsleves,
Of course, the people didn't want to loose their precious homeland...and considering Celestia was a very peaceful place...well...they implored the siblings. Oddly enough, the siblings relented, though the wives...the wives of the siblings had other plans.
So started the assassinations between the wives of the King or the Husbands of the Queen of Celestia. They wanted to make sure their child would have control of the realm...and it is the same until now, where the current eldest of King Zahir Zarahk is running from her half brother, the second-born of the King.
The govenment itself is somewhat stable. When the Heir was named and they ascend the throne, there was not much the others could do about it other than attack the new ruler's spouse and their newborn child in order to have the next eldest in line take the throne when the Heir failed to reproduce.
King Zahir was in search of his eldest child, unaware of his son's plans while Prince Veer follows his father's wishes...with a slight twist of his own - he wanted to find his elder half sister and kill her before the King himself found out. Of course, Prince Veer would pin the blame on someone, or that the girl had died in an accident of sorts...but for the time being, the Princess is missing, her siblings was after her life and the King is in search for his daughter so that should he die, she would be ready to take the throne.
Zahir found his daughter and ordered an Elite, Jacque, to watch over her until she was ready to return. Unfortunately, many things happened and his daughter did everything she could to avoid the throne. The King would have none of this. Soon, with the pending problem concerning Fari and her expansion, Shakna turned to Celestia for help. King Zahir took the opportunity to blackmail his daughter. He would send his Fighters if she returned home and prepare for her coronation. Unfortunately, Shakna did as she was told, and after the Coronation, she was instated as the Queen of Celesetia. Now, she was more responsibilities than ever imagined, and she is now doing what she can to protect her realm and her people, something she'd never had to do before.
