History: The history is rich and steeped in tradition, 8ooo years ago The first Empress fell in love with a Dragon, to be with him always she begged the Goddess to make her a dragon also, instead the Goddess took the Islands of Dalin-Bro and tossed them in to the air so that they could fly beside the dragon, when he died the Islands continued to float in the air and have done so ever since, the children of the Empress and the dragon became the highest order of guards and now their descendants are the Imperial golden white Dragon that protect the Islands along with the phoenix's.
Another Important Historical point is the death temple, When the Island took to the sky The empress realized that they would soon run out of ground for burials, so in her wisdom started to build a temple out of the bones of the people, now the temple is made of the bones of every Dalainian to ever live and the great throne in the hall of heroes is made up of the skulls of all rulers.
The Parliament is held in the Palace of Derrin and is where all laws are made, It consists of 4 houses, the house of commons where the people vote and make bills, the house of Nobles where the common bills are voted on and bills of their own are made, the house of Royals where bills are made and votes are carried out on Nobel and common bills, and the High council of the Imperial house where laws are made and bills from the lower house are either made law or chucked out.
After countless civil wars the nation is now governed by Seven Kings/Queens who all vote in parliament but the absolute law is made by the Empress and her Imperial council.
Other historical points include the change from imperial Richmond rule to Saddington in the 4th civil war and the abolishment of arranged marriages for non Royals.
