Flora and Fauna: Mehlyu is an almost uniform land consisting of league after league of deciduous forest. These woods are inhabited by all kinds of 'normal' creatures (squirrel, deer, birds, etc.) as well as many 'magical' beings and beasts. Venturing into the older and ancient parts of the wood one would encounter more and more powerful and unique creatures.
Known Dangers: Though well controlled by the ruling families, one should be wary of bandits and brigands that move through the densely wooded region. Various predators make Mehylu their home as well from Lions to Bears, and certain areas harbor Spriggans, Larken, Elementals, and sentient Elder Tree's, primarily in the old forests in the North.
History: The Grey wood is a truly vast forest spanning hundreds of leagues that has existed for as long as known time. Lying in various valleys and on several mountains the carpet of tree's is nearly unbroken throughout. For many thousands of years order has been kept by the four Royal Families of Elven rule whose histories go back almost as long as the Woods themselves. Each family rules over their respective regions (North, South, East, West) and come together for over-reaching affairs with the first House holding slightly higher authority. The Four Capital cities are named after their ruling families (Markoth, Shuliana, Falanorala, and Greymorrow), and all connect to an ancient stone highway. The Council City is found at the approximate center of the realm and contains a portal allowing travel to Auvrynon. The people of the realm, though predominantly Elven, are varied. Many races wander the beautiful landscape and all are welcome, provided they come in peace.
