The Twisted Forest
The air hangs unnaturally heavy and humid around the twisted limbs of stunted trees. Stagnant bogs fill the cloying air with the stench of decay and death.
These woods abound with creatures of a darker nature many insect-like races thrive here and over-sized insects are a common occurrence from giant wasps to spiders of every description. Thri-kreen, harpies, manscorpions and other abominations dwell within the murky woods. Lizard men are in a constant battle with yuan-ti in the southern jungles.
The Twisted Forest is about 500 miles south Ravnglade. On the northern edge of the sinister wildwood runs Thunder Gorge cut by the Snake River that empties into the Sea of Mists. A band of goblins inhabit the caves that riddle the treacherous chasm.
The nearly three hundred miles of coastline along the Sea of Mists is mainly swampland. The far northern shoreline from just south of Thunder Gorge and its Snake River is made up of jagged hazardous cliffs; the steamy seacoast south is known as the Swamp of a Thousand Agonies.
The largest city in Waspe's foul land is found on a rocky anomaly in the swamp called Vultures Craig.
