Structure Type: A wooden windmill Appearance: Arequel’s Ancestry is housed in a disused windmill located in a small clearing of the dense forest of the Kingdom of Delain. The business used to be located in Kuro as Donastaysia Arequel (who is the shop’s owner) had designed the coats of arms for Lady Narcissa of Kuro and had subsequently become the Official Geneologist of Kuro as a result. Due to personal circumstances though Donastaysia lost her position and had to leave Kuro, hence why the business is now in Delain, Donastaysia's home realm. The clearing the windmill is stood in is covered by beautiful summer flowers. The windmill is quite large and is an impressive sight as it emerges from behind the trees as one approaches it. The grey exterior signifies the slight state of dilapidation the windmill had fallen into before Donastaysia Arequel, its owner, had taken it on. She has managed to restore it with the help of her adopted Father, Garmar Contestine, however. She is also the one responsible for planting and cultivating the exquisite flora which surrounds it. There is a walkway around the middle of the windmill which Donastaysia often stands upon in order to keep an eye out for potential customers. Beyond the wooden front door lies a small reception area with a desk directly facing the door. Behind the desk is a wooden stool whilst on the desk lies a pile of paper and a quill stood in an ink bottle. The floor of the reception area is still the original stone floor of the windmill albeit much cleaner and smoother. To the left of the desk and under a small, un-curtained window is a brand new, red chaise-long with cream cushions upon it. This is reserved as a waiting area for any potential clients should Donastaysia be preoccupied with another client in the workshop upstairs. There is no other furniture in the reception room as it has very little floor space as the winding staircase up to the next level is situated in the centre of the room behind the desk. The staircase itself is made of sturdy pine steps which, although steep, are solidly built as each step has a back as well as a base. Running up the staircase is a narrow, red carpet which is constantly kept clean by Donastaysia who’s incredibly house-proud. When one climbs the stairs, one is taken up to the second level of the windmill. The entire floor is taken up by a single room and, like downstairs, the winding staircase continues up to a third level in the middle of the room. It is from the second level that Donastaysia gains access to the walkway which surrounds the outside of the windmill. She uses the second level as her workshop/design room. There she will meet clients to speak confidentially about their specification for their coat of arms. On the far wall, facing the stairs, is another, much larger desk where Donastaysia draws her designs. Behind the desk there is a plush, high-backed, red chair whilst in front of the desk there is also a high-backed chair but not as soft and as comfortable as the other. It is still comfortable enough, however, for the brief amount of time her clients spend sitting in it. The entire floor of the room is covered in a soft, burgundy carpet with the odd cream rug here and there. Two large, oak bookcases stand side-by-side against the wall behind the staircase and opposite the desk. They are filled with papers, scrolls, drawing materials as well as folders detailing past orders. On the third, and last, level of the windmill is Donastaysia’s bedroom/kitchen. Her four-posted bed is stood against one wall whilst opposite is a stove, sink and a few cupboards containing basic food. Throughout the entire windmill small, un-curtained windows let in light from outside as well as provide breathtaking views of the surrounding forest. At night several small lanterns are dotted here and there on the odd surface to provide sufficient light. THE (OOC) PROCESS: An order may be placed with Arequel's Ancestry either IC during an RP, or OOC either in the Welcome Lounge or by memoing Donastaysia using the name on the right. Particular specifications may be given but are not absolutely necessary. If you are unsure what you would like on your coat of arms, Dona can create a design based on your character's/realm's chamber/webpage. The usual items Dona would expect to see in particular specifications are: animals (either existent or mythic), symbols (such as a sword, cross etc), colours (usually 4 is the maximum), and finally a motto or slogan, although having a motto isn't an obligation. Once the criteria has been outlined, Dona will design the coat of arms for you using the standard paint programme found on Microsoft Windows and/or Vista. You may change the criteria at any time by memoing Donastaysia. If the designing of the coat of arms takes longer than expected Dona will memo you and update you with regards to its progress. When the coat of arms is finished, it will automatically be posted on the portfolio page of this profile. You will then be memoed by Dona to inform you it is finished and she will provide you a link to the portfolio. If you would like changes to be made to the design, again memo Donastaysia. If you are pleased with it though, you may simply copy and paste it into the standard Paint programme on your computer before saving it. You may then memo Dona to inform her you were pleased with it and although it is preferred you do this, it is not an obligation. Once the coat of arms is saved you may post it on your chamber and/or website and even make changes to it yourself if you wish. AT NO POINT WILL YOU BE ASKED FOR YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS UNLESS YOU VOLUNTARILY OFFER TO GIVE IT. PAST CUSTOMERS:
