DESCRIPTION

Appearance/Detailed Description:As you walk up to the building, you notice
that it looks like a large home. It has a pointed roof top with a chimney
emitting smoke from a large furnace inside. The walls and chimney are made of
smooth grey stone that have been held in place with several layers of clay and
mud. Beside the building is a smaller shelter where the blacksmith takes horses to apply their shoes. Several chests are along the wooden wall, locked and safe
from thieves. Above the door way is a vibrantly painted sigh that reads: Hands of Fire Blacksmithing. It is written in red letters with orange and yellow
flames flickering around it. As you enter you realize there is no need to even
open a door, the huge pair of double wooden doors have already been swung wide open to keep the room cool and to help the blacksmith inside to get clean air as she works away. Inside, the room is split in half by a long counter, that would reach on an average man his bellybutton, made of wood covered in marks from different weapons and armour nicking the wood as it is set down to be examined and bought. In the middle of this counter, however, is a barred gateway used by the blacksmith to pass through to help customers try on armour or to step outside to work with the horses. On the other side of the counter is where it all happens. In the back left corner of the room, the furnace is found burning brilliantly with a shovel leaned up against it's soot covered stone beside a large pile of coals. Just a few feet away are two anvils, each with a large barrel of water close by. In the other corner of the room is a small wooden table covered in papers and quills used by the blacksmith to design, write down her different ideas and orders made by the customers. Beside it is crate of damaged and scrap pieces of metal to be used for other projects. On the back wall, shelves holding everything from horse shoes to field plate armour is set out for your eyes to feast on while the blacksmith repairs your sword. Finally, the only thing left to see is the blacksmith herself, working over the anvil with a smear of soot across her face hammering at a sheet of metal. Truly, Hands of Fire Blacksmithing is one of a kind.
